Dr Gillian has worked as a Paediatrician for over 27 years. Originally from Ireland , she graduated from Queens University before moving to England to complete her general and specialist training in a number of paediatric specialities including respiratory, gastroenterology, rheumatology, cardiology, haematology/oncology and metabolic paediatrics. She completed her training at Great Ormond Street Children’s hospital London whilst also undertaking a PhD at University College London.

She relocated down under to Australia over 10 years ago with her family, which has now expanded to include her much loved groodle puppies, Ralphie & Lola.
​
Her special interests are working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism, as well those young people with mental health challenges and has just completed a Unit of a Masters degree at Monash University in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Dr Gillian is highly experienced in all general paediatrics conditions , commonly occurring in babies, infants and children and regularly updates her clinical knowledge by both attending and presenting at conferences in Australia and overseas.

She has been working in the South Australian public hospital system for almost 9 years, as a General Paediatrician, managing a range of acute paediatric and neonatal conditions, as well being the Lead Clinician for Child Development.

During this time ,Dr Gillian has developed professional relationships with her paediatric specialist colleagues at the Children’s Hospitals in Adelaide, which is essential to assist with any further referrals , which your child may require for their ongoing management. She is accredited by Autism SA, to conduct Autism Assessments in South Australia.

She is known for her down to earth, but highly professional and empathic manner. She strives to provide a holistic family - focused approach to her patients.
